Calibration models

Calibration is a process that tunes Gatekeeper to your specific environment. The result is a model that improves accuracy for enrolling and verifying persons.

The tuned elements include: acoustic characteristics, language, accent, channel, gender, and so on. The calibration process normalizes and removes the variations in the input data so that computations can focus on the relevant data attributes.

Users of calibration models

  • For most users, calibration models are created on your behalf. If your system has more than one model, you might need to select the desired model during various operations in the user interface.
  • For developers, Gatekeeper provides API methods to create and activate calibration models.
